Eden and Smt. Rani Eden Ambattu; born at
Ernakulam on 19th April 1983; B.Com.,
LL.B., (Pursuing); Social and Political Worker.
Entered politics
through students’ movement.
Was Ernakulam District President, K.S.U.
(February 2006 to March 2007); Councillor,
Mahatma Gandhi University Students Union
(2001-2002); President and General Secretary of
Sacred Heart College Students Union. Organised K.S.U. Golden Jubilee celebrations and K.S.U.
Kudumba Sangamam.
Conducted a number of
struggles and agitations such as School Text
Book Agitation, Struggle against the move to
stop bus concession to students, Struggle for SC
& ST students’ hostel renovation, Struggle
against Self Financing College Managements,
Struggle against Banks that refused to give
Students’ Loans etc.
Led the Programmes of Indian Institute of
Social Change for mentally challenged people in
Ernakulam; was Volunteer Secretary of National
Service Scheme (2001-04).
