Son of Shri T.A. Mammen and
Smt. Mariamma; born at Kallooppara on 28th April, 1959; B.A., completed LL.B. and D.S.S. Courses; Social, Political and Trade Union Worker.
Entered Politics while a student through KSC; in KSC served as, School Unit Secretary, College Unit President, President Kalloopara Constituency, the Secretary and the President of Alapuzha District Committee, the General Secretary and the President of State Committee; was General Secretary, Kerala Youth Front for 5 years from 1985; was State General Secretary, KTUC; was Member, UDF State Co-ordination Committee; Was office bearer of Kerala State Transport Drivers' Union, Electricity Board Executive Employees Union, Electricity Board Assistant Engineers Association and the Kerala State Coconut Development Corporation Staff Union; Was member, KSRTC Director Board, Electricity Board Consultative Committee and M.G. University Senate.
Now, General Secretary, Kerala Congress (M); Member, Malankara Orthodox Sabha and the Governing board of its Colleges.
Elected to Kerala Legislative Assembly in 1991. |
