Son of Shri. O. Joseph and Smt. Mariamma Joseph; born at Appanchira on  30^th   May  1964;  B.A, LL.B;  Advocate.

    Entered Politics through K.S.C while a student; was Chairman and General Secretary of Baselios College, Kottayam; President, Kerala Students Congress; Was President, Kerala Post Graduate Students Association State Committee; Was President Youth Front State Committee and Kerala Congress Kottayam District Committee; Was Chairman, Committee on Petitions of Kerala Legislative Assembly; Member, Kerala State Consumer Protection Forum; Senate Member, Mahatma Gandhi University; Member, State Youth Welfare Expert Committee;  Associated with student’s and Youth Movements led activities for the entire development and protection of rights of Keralites. Led many social welfare programmes for the development of Farmers, Labourers and Youth.  Conducted many students agitations including eight days fasting struggle in front of the Secretariat for educational renovation.  Participated in the Parliament March which was conducted for allocating more central government schemes to Kerala.

Was Minister for Works during the 12^th KLA and during his tenure, conducted many developmental projects for road renovation including VISION 2010.

Now State General Secretary, Kerala Congress; Secretary, Kerala Congress(M) Parliamentary Party.

Previously elected to KLA in 1996 and 2006.
