Son of  Shri Joseph Luiz and Smt. Leena Luiz; born on 7th June 1955; B.A, D.S.S; Social, Political and Trade Union Worker.

Entered politics through K.S.U; Served as Vice President (1973-74), General Secretary (1975-76) and President (1977-78) of K.S.U. Thevara S.H. College unit.  Was General Secretary (1979-80) and President (1980-81)of K.S.U. Cochin City Committee; Was General Secretary (1981-1982) and President (1982-83) of K.S.U. Ernakulam District Committee; Was General Secretary Ernakulam  District Youth Congress Committee (1985-88).

Served as General Secretary Perumanoor Anglo-Indian Association(1989-91) and Executive Member, Anglo Indian Association Chathiath unit (1998-2000).

Now, Vice President Ernakulam North Block Congress Committee (since 1988); Ernakulam District Secretary, I.N.T.U.C. (since1997);  President, Cochin City Auto Riksha Drivers Union I.N.T.U.C. (since 1998); General Secretary, Bharath Petroleum Corporation I.N.T.U.C. (since 1998).
