(Kerala Provisional United Trade Union Congress) in 1977; participated in ILO Conference at Geneva representing Central Government in 1985. Was minister for Labour from 28-12-1981 to 17-3-1982; Minister for Labour & Excise during 1982-87, Minister for Forests & Rural Development during 1995-96.
Elected to KLA in 1980, 1982, 1991 and 2001.
