Smt. Cheeramma; born at Kandanad on 29th April 1946; B.A. Agriculturist, Political and Social Worker.
Entered politics through KSU; held various positions in KSU during the period from 1964 to 1970 such as founder President of St. Albert College KSU Unit (1968) and KSU Ernakulam District General Secretary (1968-70); was, President, Block Youth Congress Committee (1970-78); Elected as D.C.C. Member (1972); Youth Congress Ernakulam District Secretary (1978-81); President Tripunithura Block Congress Committee (1980-82); was Convener Block Agriculture Workers Cell (1973), and President D.K.T.F. District Committee (1976-80).
Now serves as General Secretary, Ernakulam D.C.C. (from 1992), President and Secretary of various Trade Unions.
