and Smt. Madhavi Amma; born at Morazha on 23rd April 1953; S.S.L.C.; Diploma in Physical Education; Political worker.
Started political activities during school days, participated in the activities of 'Balasangham' ; Active Member of K.S.Y.F. from 1978, and later its State Vice President; Was a member of preparatory committee which was constituted for the formation of D.Y.F.I.; was Central Committee Member of D.Y.F.I., and later its State President and Secretary; was Member, C.P.I.(M) Kannur District Committee.
Worked as sports teacher but later resigned from service for active political work; Was jailed for four months during emergency period; led many youth and peasant movements.
Now, President, SC/ST Welfare Society, Kannur; President, Malabar Tourism Development Co-operative; Member, State Committee and Kannur District Secretariat of C.P.I.(M); State Committee Member and District President of Karshaka Thozhilali Union.
Elected to KLA in 1996.
